For young adults determined to make a difference in this world, NCP wants to do what we can to give you a hand. We all know there's plenty wrong out there. For starters.

• Nearly a billion of the world's people don't have as much to live on as US young adults spend on themselves every month – around $286
• There are 40 percent fewer living creatures on earth than there were 35 years ago – victims of over-fishing, forest destruction, "development," and global warming – and we ain't seen nothing yet...
• Most folks in our society are blissfully ignorant of what's happening around them-and aren't likely to really wake up until it's way too late

What can you do about it? More than you think! Change in our world today won't be coming from the top-but from the ground up. We just have to recognize and use the power we have-the power of community, the power of communication, the power of commitment, the power of cash-after all, your spending patterns are one of the most powerful tools you have to bring change.

Learning Tours You want to see your world and encounter interesting people-and not have to shave your head, give up your rights and get marched off to a war somewhere to do it. Join our Learning Tours to fascinating and troubling places to explore the struggles facing the earth and its people--and learn how you can be a part of bringing change!

Solidarity Workers We know you want to do off-the-charts-live-and-learn experiences for longer periods of time than a few days or weeks. Our  Solidarity Workers  program will help you spend from a couple of months up to a year working with NCP partners in Central and South America , Africa or Asia , or the Arctic .

Support Project Nimule! NCP Solidarity Workers spent the summer in Nimule, Sudan, and have now challenged us to raise $12,000 in the coming year for projects in the  community. Help!

Take NCP to School NCP director David Radcliff is ready and willing to visit college campuses for convos, classes and retreats on topics related to enviro care and social justice. Contact David by email. Here's a report from a recent outing: This spring semester David Radcliff promenaded into my world religions and philosophy classes with non-stop engaging energy and spellbound the students and other guests as a walking encyclopedia of knowledge and caring. His ability to weave together a tapestry of statistics and touching anecdotes on a variety of topics concerning world hunger and environmental issues was amazing.  Guest speakers in the classroom are received with a yawn and a glassy-eyed attentiveness. But not with David. He was engaging and inspiring. His personal experiences were poignant and powerful. I highly recommend him to other educators. -Herb Smith, faculty - McPherson College

Join the Band! NCP is inviting you to demonstrate your commitment to living right with the earth and its people by Joining the Band. Making this step gets you a cool wristband made by the Siona people of the Ecuadorian Amazon (sustainable materials!), and links you with other like-minded souls--folks who have had enough of the way we're living with the earth and its people and want to do things differently. Dialing for (Eco) Dollars Tired of outrageous cell phone bills--and companies that seem to just want to gouge you? Earth Tones internet and phone company is a nonprofit enterprise that donates profits to environmental causes. Reasonable rates make this a relatively painless way to do good as you stay connected.
